Hello. My name is Laura.

I started my own private medical practice in 2012 at the ripe old age of 38 after 2 previous careers, the first in the Internet Start up craze and the second after September 11 I moved to a  steady paycheck in Corporate Insurance.

​

As it turned out, I wasn't up for the corporate life for the long haul.  By the age of 30 I was beat up, run down, stressed out, miserable and driving my husband crazy.  He let me know my unhappiness was a root cause of his own and that was the reason I needed to dig deeper and makes changes. 

​

I started a path of self discovery and health with a therapist partner and by the time I was 32 I was starting a medical program for a 4 year full time Masters Degree in East Asian Medicine. 

​

When I began studying this medicine in 2007 I truly had no idea what I was stepping into. A life change. A perspective shift of all things, my life, health, personal and professional power and all things under and beyond the sky.

​

Since my graduation in 2011 my life has never stopped changing, I have continued a path of learning and growth professionally and personally. When I start work with a new person we begin excactly where they are in time, now.  We can only begin our work in this place and my focus is to have our eyes wide open to that reality and the realities we strive to create.

We can only begin here, exactly where we are and so this is always where I begin with others and myself

My medical practice is rooted in understanding individuals and empowerment by education. I have a diverse and rich background that informs my bedside manner and my approach to support, education, counseling and care.

​

I am excited to now be offering TeleHealth Appointments along with a small in person practice in Vermont. COVID shutdowns of 2020 altered my life and business for the rest of my life and while it took me 5 years to shift, I have managed to find a path back to medicine. 

 

I never stopped practicing totally but my full time clinical work was disrupted as a result of being a solo parent to a child under 5 at that time of the shutdowns.

I am passionate about the wide spread and complex public health crisis in the United States and I offer a great deal of guidance and education for free on Patreon, please click here to join as a free member.

 

I run this site PBS/NPR style of donation for those who can and wish to support but education that is free for all.

 

I also offer free LIVE streams on TikTok and these are free forum times for health questions, Chinese Medicine Inquires or general topics I might be ranting about regarding health and medicine that day. A space to learn for free.

My professional goals lie in individual personal empowerment through body awareness and education as well as public education about East Asian Medicine and how the public can and must demand these ways become more accessible and affordable to everyday citizens.

 

This medicine when subsidized by a functional public health system would save us trillions of dollars and bring health, care, balance and sanity back to the field we call Health Care.
